A major step beyond conventional cruise control.

Available adaptive cruise control (ACC) functions just like normal cruise control, but with one exception: When the system is activated and its sensors detect traffic slowing ahead your vehicle automatically slows to maintain the distance you've set. And when traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes at the preset speed. Collision warning with brake support (included with ACC) can alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A "heads-up" display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don't react in time, the brakes will pre-charge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake. Adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support are optional on Taurus Limited and SHO models.

*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's judgement.

Enjoy a soothing, relaxing lumbar massage

There are front seats, and there are the lumbar-massaging, muscle fatigue-reducing, nerve-stimulating, awareness-heightening vehicle front seats. These seats are designed to help reduce driver muscle fatigue and enhance blood flow in the legs and lower back and are available in the 2014 Ford Taurus..

*Available in the Limited and SHO models.
**Class is Full-Size Sedans.

There's no such thing as too much control

Torque Vectoring Control uses braking to adjust the speed between the front wheels while you're accelerating through a corner, forcing the front end to hug the inside of the curve and provide a better grip. Curve Control uses braking to slow you down when it senses that you're going too fast into a particular curve.

Curve Control uses braking to slow you down when it senses that you're going too fast into a particular curve.

This kind of technology is usually only found on premium vehicles.

Great I-4 economy with the power of a much larger engine.

The 2.0L EcoBoost® I-4 Engine has the best-in-class* fuel economy with an EPA-estimated rating of 32 highway mpg.* It combines the technologies of direct injection and turbocharging plus twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT). The result is 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque**. It’s a win-win combination: the power of a V6 and efficiency of a 4-cyliner engine. Available on SE, SEL and Limited.

* Class is Full-Size Non-Hybrid Sedans. EPA-estimated rating of 22 city/32 hwy/26 combined mpg, 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine. Actual mileage will vary.
**Figures achieved using premium unleaded gasoline.
